SUITS project organised the Multiplier Workshop: Building capacity and resilience in small and medium cities – Deploying SUITS transferable tools for sustainable mobility, on Friday 2nd October 2020, 11:30 – 13:00CET, at the Urban Mobility Days 2020, Digital Conference.
During the 90 minutes workshop three SUITS cities; Coventry (UK), Rome (Italy) and Alba Iulia (Romania), presented sustainable transport solutions already implemented, that lead to mobility transformations. The SUITS Project Manager, Prof. Andree Woodcock, briefly presented the key outcomes of the project that could be replicated from follower cities.
Sunil Budhdeo, Transport Innovation Manager, Coventry City Council, presented how the city of Coventry managed the actual implementation of a trial of e-scooters from 2021, as an alternative to Public Transport due to the COVID pandemic
Fabio Nussio, International Cooperation & SUMP change agent RSM, in Rome, showcased how the city of Rome implemented the participatory approach for SUMP and SUMP approval
Stefan Roseanu, Integral Consulting R&D, explained the tests performed for implementing the innovative financing and procurement procedures to develop metropolitan sustainable mobility
