On 19th September, West Midlands Combined Authority hosted a visit from the Indian Smart Cities mission, led by Dr Greg Marsden of the Institute for Transport Studies at the University of Leeds. A day discussion related to the work of Transport Department for West Midlands focused to Mobility as a Service, Bus Rapid Transit and the use of data in transport planning. The delegation was particularly interested to hear about the business models in operation in mobility in the West Midlands and the advantages and disadvantages of these. This was a great sharing opportunity of knowledge with other city government officials and business representatives.
