European commission has launched a public consultation inviting citizens and organisations to contribute to the assessment of how to increase the EU 2030 emission reduction ambition in a responsible way.

The European Green Deal aims to make Europe the world’s first climate-neutral continent. Therefore, the European Commission has launched a 12-week period of online public consultation for the revision of the EU 2030 Climate Target Plan. They invite all stakeholders and citizens to submit their views. The aim of this consultation is to collect the feedback, opinions and knowledge of all stakeholders including citizens and the civil society, businesses, NGOs, academia, national, regional and local authorities. It also aims to gather further information, including roadmaps, policy briefs and studies relevant for deeper greenhouse gas emission reductions. The online consultation will be open for 12 weeks from 31 March until 23 June 2020.
