The SUITS project in cooperation with the FZNUM (Competence Center for Sustainable Urban Mobility of the Federal State of Hesse in Germany) developed and conducted a series of Workshops called SUMP.Academy, dealing with different topics and challenges of sustainable mobility planning.
On 23 and 30 June, several workshops were held as an online format, for which almost 120 participants, primarily representatives of German municipalities, had registered. The SUITS project conducted 2 workshops. In addition to a workshop on city logistics, in which challenges and concepts for the last mile were presented and discussed with the participants, another workshop was held on the subject of changing corporate culture, the aim of which was to sensitise the participants to the necessity and approach of an organisational change in order to cope with current and future challenges in the field of mobility.
The workshops were a complete success and earned much positive feedback from the participants. As part of the series, further workshops are planned for the future, in order to establish a dialogue with the cities, to stimulate the exchange of experience between them and to tailor support programs even better to their needs.
